Description and Topics of Interest:

In this global, digital, and service-oriented economy, service science and service design are of critical importance to businesses, organizations, and countries. Information systems and technologies are an enabling and an indispensable part of the service economy. The emergence of this new economy has been heavily supported by innovative information technologies and systems that have enabled multiple parties to engage in designing, creating, implementing, and supporting the use of services. This track serves as a forum for researchers, educators, and practitioners working in this area to meet and exchange ideas. This track welcomes all aspects of research related to service science, service design, and user experience and is open to all types of research methods (e.g., simulation, survey, experimentation, case studies, action research, etc.).

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Artificial intelligence and machine learning in service science
Business analytics for service science
Business models for service science
Cross cultural issues related to service science and service design
Customer participation in service innovation
Cyber security issues in service science
Design thinking for service science
Innovation in service science and service design
Methods, methodologies, techniques, and tools for service science
Mobile and social media for service science
Quality of user experience
Metrics to measure user experience
Research methodologies for service science
Robotics and automation in service science
Service economics, risk, and life cycle
